“The Raven” by Edgar Allan Poe is: short, sweet, sublime, scary-bird.
This is a really, really short story—or more properly stated it's actually a long narrative poem. For me, it's all about the atmosphere and the uncanny. Is there something supernatural happening here? Or is this grief-stricken narrator cracking up?
